Hot-formed steel is a type of steel that changes its structure and properties through thermo-mechanical processing (such as rolling, forging, extrusion, etc.) under high temperature. It has excellent properties, workability and corrosion resistance. Because hot-formed steel is processed at high temperatures, its grain size becomes larger and the deformation ability of the steel is also enhanced. As a result, it has excellent plasticity and can easily realize complex deformation processes. During the processing of hot-formed steel at high temperatures, due to the strong oxide film protection on the surface of the steel, its surface quality is better, which facilitates subsequent processing and surface treatment. Applications of Docol PHS 1500M hot-formed steel include safety parts such as door anti-collision beams, bumper systems, and B- pillar reinforcements.
